2002 -- Ranked No. 5 U. S. 400m hurdler by T & FN ...At the NCAA Outdoor, Johnson twice earned All-American status - 400m hurdles (4th, 55.71, then personal-best, No. 4 in school history) and 4 X 400m relay (third leg, 3rd, 3:28.79; 3:28.58Q, school record, old mark, 3:29.41, 1999) ... Also qualified in the 100m hurdles... At the Pac-10, Johnson defended her 400m hurdle title (57.35), ran the third leg on UCLA's winning 4 X 400m relay (3:31.97) and placed second in the 100m hurdles (13.39) ... At the NCAA Indoor, Johnson earned All-American, running the anchor leg on UCLA's 4 X 400m relay (5th, 3:36.59) ... Honorable Mention Academic All-Pac-10 selection.
2001 -- As a true freshman, Johnson earned All-American honors on two occasions, won two Pac-10 titles and was named the Conference Newcomer of the Year and won her third U. S. Junior 400m hurdle championship ...At the NCAA Outdoor, she ran the second leg on UCLA's 4 X 400m relay that placed fifth (3:36.09; 3:30.54Q, No. 5 in school history, No. 10 on the 2001 U. S. list) and at the NCAA Indoor, Johnson again ran the second leg on the Bruins' 4 X 400m relay that placed fifth (3:35.27) ...Also at the NCAA Outdoor, Johnson had the No. 1 qualifying mark (56.02) in the 400m hurdles and also ran on UCLA's 4 X 100m relay ...At the Pac-10, Johnson won the 400m hurdles (56.02, then personal-best, No. 4 2001 World Junior list, No. 4 in UCLA history, No. 7 2001 U.
