2001 — Earned All-American honors on three occasions … At the NCAA Outdoor, Williams placed seventh (2:06.87) in the 800m and ran the third leg on the Bruins’ 4 X 400m relay (fifth-place, 3:36.09; 3:30.54Q, No. 5 in school history, No. 10 on the 2001 U. S. list) … At the NCAA Indoor, Williams ran the third leg on the Bruins’ 4 X 400m relay that placed fifth (3:35.27) and she also qualfied in the 800m … At the Pac-10 meet, she was fourth in the 800m (2:06.78) and ran the second leg on the Bruins’ winning 4 X 400m relay (3:32.82) … At the Texas Relays, Williams ran the first leg on UCLA’s winning and school-record 4 X 800m relay (8:33.21) … At the USA Outdoor, Williams advanced to the semi-finals of the 400m (57.84; 57.34Q, No. 8 in school history, No. 19 on the U. S. list) … Season-best 2:05.51 (No. 22 on the U. S. list) in the 800m and 54.17 in the 400m.
2000 — At the NCAA Outdoor, Williams ran the third leg on UCLA’s 4 X 100m relay that placed sixth (44.91) in a semi-final race … At the Pac-10, she placed fifth (2:09.09) in the 800m and ran the second leg on UCLA’s 4 X 400m relay that finished second (3:37.10, season-best) … Ran season-bests of 54.65 and 2:06.93 (No. 64 on the 2000 U. S. list).
1999 — As a true freshman, Williams was UCLA’s top 800m runner … In Junior competition, she won the 800m at the Pan Am (2:05.41) and U. S. (2:07.60) meets … At the NCAA Outdoor, Williams earned All-America by running the opening leg on UCLA’s 4 X 400m relay that placed third (3:29.41, then a school record) … Also qualified in the 800m … At the Pac-10, Williams tied for fourth (2:08.28) in the 800m and ran the second leg on UCLA’s 4 X 400m relay that placed second (3:34.28) … Ran an 800m personal-best of 2:05.23 (No. 3 in school history, No. 29 on U. S. list).
High School — Williams was the fourth fastest senior prepster in the U. S. in 1998 in the 800m with a high school personal-best 2:09.21 in winning the NY State title and had a long jump personal-best of 19-5.25 (No. 17 U. S. prep list) … Best times of 53.87 (400m) and 2:12.57 as a junior in 1997 and 54.11 as a sophomore … As a junior she was second in the 400m (53.87, personal-best) at the U. S. Juniors and was fourth in the 400m (55.73) and seventh in the 800m (2:14.29) at the National Scholastic Indoors … Represented the U. S. in the 1997 Pan American Junior Championships in Havana, Cuba, placing sixth in the 400m (55.26) and won a bronze medal in the 4x400m relay, running the opening leg in 54.7 seconds … Williams was a three-time NY State prep champ in both the 400m and 800m.
