Laich Places Second In UCLA-USC Dual Meet Hammer

Freshman Katie Laich scored UCLA's first points of the dual meet on Friday as she placed second in the hammer with a throw of 150-2. USC's Eva Orban won the competition with a mark of 200-10. USC heads into Saturday's portion of the meet up 6-3.
Senior Kristi Kirst threw 144-1 to finish fourth overall. Freshman Catherine White was fifth with a lifetime-best mark (143-3) and senior Mary Hanley was sixth (142-1).
