After Day One of the 2005 Pac-10 Multi-Events at UCLA's Drake Stadium Bruin sophomore Nastassja Hall is in fifth-place with 3,117 points. Hall's four event (100m hurdles/high jump/shot put/200m) total of 3,117 points is a lifetime best. In the 100m hurdles, her 15.13 (825 points/eighth overall mark) was a personal-best; she leaped 5-4.25 (771 points/tied for fourth overall) in the high jump; her shot put of 37-7.25 (625 points/fourth overall) was a personal-best and in the 200m, she ran 24.90 (896 points/third overall). Also competing for the Bruins was freshman Ingrid Kantola, who is in 11th place with 2,511 points. In the 100m hurdles, Kantola ran a 16.15 (825 points/10th overall); her high jump mark was 5-1.75 (701 points/10th overall); in the shot put, her effort was 30-5.50 (482 points/10th overall) and in the 200m, she ran a 27.99 (632 points/ninth overall). The leader after four events is Washington State sophomore Diana Pickler, with a lifetime first-day best of 3,393 points. D. Pickler had the best marks in the 100m hurdles (13.79/1,008 points) and the high jump (lifetime best 5-8.75/916 points). Oregon's Lauryn Jordan is in second-place with a lifetime first-day best of 3,324 points and D. Pickler's twin sister, Julie, is in third-place, with a lifetime first-day best of 3,278 points.
