MADISON, Wis. - UCLA swept to an easy 3-0 victory over Villanova on Saturday evening at the InnTowner Invitational in Madison, Wis., defeating the Wildcats 30-25, 30-27, 30-16 in 85 minutes. UCLA was led offensively by Nana Meriwether with 15 kills and a .571 attack percentage.

The opening game of the match saw Kaitlin Sather lead the way with six kills, a .357 attack percentage and five digs for the Bruins. Sophomore transfer Meghan Schoen was injured early in the game and would not return to the match. UCLA hit .422 for game one, downing 25 kills on 45 attacks with six errors in the game.

In game two, Sather chipped in with another six kills and five digs, with Meriwether close behind with five kills on an error-free eight attacks. Four of Meriwether's six blocks in the match came in game three as UCLA took a 2-0 lead with a 30-27 win in the game.

Meriwether had her final two blocks and six kills in the final game of the match as UCLA maintained its undefeated record at the InnTowner Invitational. For the match, Meriwether led four Bruins with double-figure kills, finishing with 15 kills and six blocks for 19 points. Kaitlin Sather followed with 14 kills and a 12 digs with Jordan Smith and Nancy Barba finishing with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Laura Kroneberger led all Bruins with 16 digs in the match.

UCLA concludes InnTowner Invitational play on Sunday afternoon with a 3 pm PT match against host Wisconsin. The contest will be televised live by CSTV.
