Bruins Earn #14 National Seed in NCAA Tournament, Host First and Second Rounds

LOS ANGELES - The UCLA women's volleyball team earned a #14-national seed in this year's NCAA Tournament and will host the first and second rounds, which begin on Friday at Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins (20-10, 9-9 Pac-10) will host LSU (18-9, 13-7 SEC) in the first round at 8 p.m., while San Francisco (22-7, 11-3 WCC) and Duke (24-8, 15-5 ACC) square off at 5:30 p.m. The winners of the two matches will play in the second round on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Single-game tickets are $10 for adult general admission and $6 for student and youth general admission, while all-session tickets are $18 (adult) and $10 (student/youth). Tickets may be purchased at the site on game day and are first-come, first-serve. They are also available by calling 310-UCLA-WIN.

The Bruins concluded the regular season with a three-set sweep of cross-town rival USC on Friday. UCLA finished with its 10th-straight, 20-win season and were tied for fifth in the Pac-10.

LSU has won six in a row heading into the NCAA Tournament, finishing first in the Southeastern Conference's Western Division. San Francisco placed second in the West Coast Conference, while Duke were the co-Atlantic Coast Conference Champions.

The winner of the second round matchup heads to Austin, Texas and the NCAA Regional round. The Regionals take place on Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13.
