No. 3 UCLA Women's Water Polo Takes Down No. 6 Arizona State, 10-5

TEMPE, Ariz. - Senior attacker Tanya Gandy scored a game-high three goals to lead the No. 3 UCLA women's water polo team past No. 6 Arizona State on Saturday afternoon at ASU's Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.
UCLA (12-3, 3-0 MPSF) also received one pair of goals each from senior Anne Belden and sophomore Priscilla Orozco. Senior Katie Rulon and freshmen KK Clark and Sarah Orozco each scored one goal against Arizona State (9-6, 0-1 MPSF).
Arizona State was led by sophomore Nikki Unbehaun's two-goal performance.
The visiting Bruins took the lead early with two first-quarter goals from Gandy. Unbehaun and Jennifer Campo scored consecutive goals to tie the contest, 2-2, midway through the second quarter.
UCLA scored twice more in the first half to assume a 4-2 halftime advantage.
The Bruins outscored the Sun Devils by a 4-2 margin in the third quarter to secure a 8-4 cushion.
UCLA returns to action against California on Saturday, March 7 in an MPSF match at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. Game time against the Golden Bears is slated for 1 p.m.
