LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Number-one ranked UCLA (20-1/ 8-0 in MPSF) scored 11 goals in the first quarter and sailed to a 24-0 victory over #20 Long Beach State(7-16/ 0-8) Friday night at Belmont Plaza Pool. Sophomore Erin Golbaski led the Bruins with four goals while Robin Beauregard, Carly Herrera and Catharine von Scharz each scored three times. Von Schwarz scored all three of her goals in the first quarter while Beauregard and Coralie Simmons both had two goals in the first quarter.

Bruin goalies Nicolle Payne and Alison LaBonte combined for the shutout, the first shutout suffered by the 49ers this season. For LBSU, goalie Jill Nutall recorded four goalie saves.
