Top-Ranked UCLA Downs UC San Diego in Women's Water Polo

UCLA's Coralie Simmons scored three goals, including two in the first quarter, as the top-ranked Bruins downed 10th-ranked UC San Diego, 10-3 in women's water polo at UCSD's Canyonview Pool.

Simmons and teammate Mandy McAloon, who also scored two goals, staked UCLA to a 4-1 first quarter lead and the Bruins never looked back. Robin Beauregard also tallied two goals for UCLA, which improved to 21-1 on the season.

The Tritons, who fell to 6-13, received goals from Jenny Irwin, Katari Carello and Kathryn Ozaki.

UCSD's next game is on April 10 when the Tritons will play host to UC Santa Cruz at 6:00 pm.
