STOCKTON, Calif. -- Number one ranked UCLA breezed through the round-robin action at the Mountain Pacific Women's Water Polo Tournament on Friday in Stockton, California, with victories over University of Pacific, 14-2, and UC Santa Barbara, 10-4.

In the first game, UCLA jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in the first half against the home team Pacific, and never looked back. Erin Golaboski and Catharine von Schwarz scored three goals apiece to lead the Bruins to the win. Cari Bertrand scored both of Pacific's goals as Molly Smith was shutout for only the second time this season.

The Bruins then took on rival UC Santa Barbara in a later game. UCLA goalie, Nicole Payne, saved 7 shots and Coralie Simmons scored four goals to pace the Bruin attack. UC Santa Barbara came back with two goals in the fourth quarter but the Bruin lead was too much to overcome.
