WOODLAND, Calif. -- UCLA sophomore attacker Emily Donohoe has captured MPSF/KAP7 Player of the Week acclaim for the week of Jan. 14-20, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced Monday. This is the first player of the week award for Donohoe.

Donohoe led the Bruins in all four games of the Michigan Kick-Off Invitational (Jan. 19-20) as UCLA got its 2013 season off to a 4-0 start with victories over three ranked teams.

Donohoe scored a total of 14 goals in the four contests (3.5 goals per game). She scored a total of 15 goals all of last season. Donohoe opened the year with three goals in a 12-8 win over No. 7 San Diego State. Then she single-handedly outscored No. 11 Michigan with four goals in a 12-3 win over the Wolverines.

Then on Sunday, Donohoe scored three goals in the 14-6 win over Colorado State and concluded the day with four more scores in the 8-4 win over No. 14 Indiana.

The Bruins return to action on Jan. 26 when they travel to UC Santa Barbara for a first round game against Pacific in the UCSB Winter Invite. The game is slated to start at 9:30 a.m. at UCSB's Recreation Center Pool.
