LOS ANGELES - The No. 3 UCLA women's water polo team (12-1) hosts No. 6 UC Irvine (7-3) in a non-conference clash on Friday (Feb. 15) at Spieker Aquatics Center. The contest is slated to start at 7:00 p.m.
BRUINS AMONG MPSF SCORING LEADERS
Sophomore attacker Emily Donohoe leads UCLA in scoring with 28 goals (2.15 goals per game), which ranks seventh in the MPSF. Freshman Rachel Fattal is second on team in scoring with 21 goals (1.75 goals per game), which ranks 12th in the MPSF. Freshman defender Alys Williams is third on the team and 26th in the MPSF with 13 goals (1.0 goals per game).

Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper, Sami Hill, is off to a great start in 2013 and is currently second in the MPSF in saves per game at 11.22. She is also third in the MPSF in goals against, giving up 4.99 per game. Hill also is second on the team with 11 assists and is tied for third in steals with eight.
True freshman Rachel Fattal leads the Bruins in steals (17), sprints won (14) and field blocks (7) and is second in scoring (21 goals) and third in assists (9).
HILL ON THE ASSIST
Freshman attacker Kodi Hill leads the Bruins with 16 assists on the year. Hill also has six goals, four steals and four field blocks on the year.
BROOKS ON DECK FOR YEAR FOUR
Brandon Brooks is in his fourth season as UCLA's head women's water polo coach in 2013. He was named the third head coach in program history on June 3, 2009, and has compiled a 83-20 (.806) record.
SCOUTING UC IRVINE
The UC Irvine Anteaters of the Big West Conference are ranked sixth in the country with an overall record of 7-3. All three of the Anteaters losses are to MPSF foes. The Anteaters have two one-goal losses to No. 5 Arizona State and a 9-4 setback to No. 1 Stanford. UC Irvine is allowing just 5.7 goals per game in 2013. Freshman center McKenna Mitchell leads all 'Eaters with 20 goals (2.0 goals per game). The Bruins are 15-0 all-time against UC Irvine, which includes a 10-9 victory in the last meeting between the two teams, which was in the third-place game of the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
