WOODLAND, Calif. -- UCLA sophomore attacker Emily Donohoe has captured MPSF/KAP7 Player of the Week acclaim for the week of Mar. 4-10, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced Monday. This is the second player of the week award for Donohoe.

Donohoe scored a career-high five goals (on six shots) to lead No. 4 UCLA to a 10-7 win over No. 5 California on Saturday (March 9). She scored at least one goal in all four periods, including a hat trick in the first half, and accounted for half of the Bruins' 10 goals. The Bruins improved to 18-3 on the year and 1-1 in the MPSF. UCLA went 2-0 on the week with a 9-5 win over No. 7 San Diego State on Sunday (March 11) at Spieker Aquatics Center as well. Donohoe did not score on two shots against the Aztecs.

Donohoe leads the team in scoring with 46 goals on the year (2.19 goals per game), which ranks fifth in the MPSF. She is also third on the squad in steals (16) and second in field blocks (seven).

The Bruins are off for two weeks until they return to action on Mar. 24 when they host league-newcomer, Cal State Bakersfield, at Spieker Aquatics Center. The game is slated to start at 1:00 p.m.
