![]() The Rose Bowl is undergoing $160 million in improvements! Construction started immediately following the New Year's Day game and will continue through each of the next three off-seasons, during which time there will be no interruption to any UCLA home games. Upon completion, the entire UCLA game day experience will be more enjoyable, easier to access and safer. The Rose Bowl will maintain its historic and iconic original design. Funding for the project is provided by the issuance of bonds through the City of Pasadena. There will be no ticket surcharge or facility improvement fee associated with the project. For the coming season there will be new scoreboards (HD quality, state of the art 78' X 30' board on the north end that is two and a half times larger than what was there previously, a vintage 1940's scoreboard on the south end, and a new board above the east rim of the Rose Bowl). LED panels featuring game information and advertising will also be featured. The four stadium entry tunnels (24, 25, 26 and 27) on the south end will be expanded to twice their current size to make entry and exit more efficient. There will also be four additional aisles added to sections in the south end zone. When the project is completed in 2013, the concourse will have nearly doubled in size, concession points of sale will increase from 92 to 225 and restroom fixtures will be increased from 733 to 1,000. New public entry gate structures will be erected with turnstiles, lighting and gate identification. A new press box will be built offering suites, loge boxes, club seats and lounges. At completion, it will offer more than three times the current square footage while remaining the same height.
