Belanger Wins 3-Meter at UGA Invite

ATHENS, Ga. โ The UCLA diving team dominated the 3-meter final on Friday afternoon at the UGA Fall Invitational.ย Three Bruins placed in the top six, led by sophomore Eloise Belanger with a first-place finish.
Belanger posted a 331.30 to top Michigan's Alessandra Murphy in second by 16.25 points.ย Junior Ciara Monahan scored a 307. 65 to finish third, while senior Annika Lenz checked in at sixth with a 282.00.ย
Rounding out the Bruins in the 3-meter final, Kat Friese finished just outside the top 10 in 11th.ย The sophomore posted a six-dive score of 265.65.ย ย ย ย ย ย
Four of the six Bruin divers competing in the 3-meter event advanced to the finals from the morning prelims.ย Falling outside of the top 16 to advance, sophomores Madeline Russell and Traci Shiver placed 28th and 34th, respectively.ย ย ย ย
The UGA Fall Invite continues tomorrow at Gabrielsen Natatorium with the 1-meter event.ย Prelims begin at 7:30 a.m. PT, with finals set for 3 p.m PT.
