LOS ANGELES -- Sophomore guard Jordin Canada was one of three Pac-12 Conference players to receive Honorable Mention All-America accolades from the Associated Press, joining Oregon State's Sydney Wiese and Ruth Hamblin.

OSU's Jamie Weisner was named to the second team while Oregon's Jillian Alleyne and Washington's Kelsey Plum were each named to the third team.

Canada guided UCLA to its first Sweet Sixteen since 1999 and led the Bruins in scoring (16.1 ppg) which ranks 7th in the Pac-12. She also led the Bruins in assists (5.8 apg) and steals (2.3 spg), both of which ranks 2nd in the league.

Canada also earned several honors throughout the 2015-16 season including being named All-Pac-12 and to the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team by both the coaches and media. She was also named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team as UCLA reached the title game for the second time in four years. The sophomore was also named to the Wade Watch List, the John R. Wooden Award Late Season Top 20 and the Naismith Early Season Watch List.

She was also listed among the 10 ESPN.com featured as sophomores who had breakout seasons. Last year's Pac-12 Freshman of the Year as voted on by the league's coaches, Canada led the Bruins back to the NCAA Tournament while nearly doubling her assist-to-turnover ratio and adding five points per game to her scoring average in 2015-16.
