January 21, 2017 | Football
LOS ANGELES โ UCLA Head Football Coach Jim Mora announced today the hiring of Hank Fraley as the team's offensive line coach. Fraley, an 11-year NFL veteran, spent the last three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings as the assistant offensive line coach.
ย
"Having spent the last three seasons with an excellent staff in Minnesota, coupled with his 11-year NFL playing career, Hank is undoubtedly the right man to lead this unit forward," said Mora. "I watched Hank compete firsthand in the 2004 NFC Championship and am happy this time he's now on our team. We can't wait to get him in here, have him meet with our guys, share his knowledge and experience with them and begin the process of preparing this group for Spring Ball."

Fraley was named to the Vikings staff on Feb. 10, 2014, and served as the assistant offensive line coach for three seasons. This past season Fraley was under the tutelage of one of the best offensive line coaches in football in Tony Sparano.
ย
Prior to joining the Vikings, Fraley began his coaching career as the offensive line coach at the University of San Diego in 2012 before moving to San Jose State in 2013 to serve in the same capacity.
A non-scholarship student-athlete at Robert Morris, Fraley, an offensive lineman who earn his degree in organizational leadership, emerged as one of the all-time greats at RMU, becoming just the second player in school history to have his number (75) retired.
ย
An undrafted free agent in 2000, Fraley eventually signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. In just his second year with the team, Fraley started 15 games and went on to start every contest thereafter until 2009. Fraley appeared in 142 career games and made 123 starts. In addition to his time with the Eagles, he also played four seasons with the Cleveland Browns and one with the St. Louis Rams.
