Carda was recognized as the back-to-back Pac-12 Player of the Year and was also named NFCA First Team All-American, NFCA West All-Region First Team, All-Pac-12 First Team, All-Pac-12 Defensive Team Honorable Mention, a Top 26 finalist for the USA Softball National Player of the Year and a Top 10 finalist for the Senior CLASS Award ... led the Bruins in the circle with a 32-8 record, a 2.62 Carda was named to the 2015 USA Softball Women's National Team on Jan. 8 ... will compete at the World Cup of Softball X (June 29-July 5) in Irvine and the Pan American Games (July 15-26) in Toronto.

Was an NFCA First Team All-American, a Top Three Finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award and Pac-12 Conference Player of the Year, also earning All-Pac-12 First Team and NFCA All-Region First Team honors ... led the Bruins with a 1.90 earned run average, a 32-5 record and 230 strikeouts in 220 2/3 innings ... had 18 complete games and two saves, and was a part of 13 Helped Team USA to the 2011 ISF Junior Women’s World Championship gold medal in Cape Town, South Africa (Dec. 6-17) ... went 2-1 with 23 strikeouts in 13 innings, including a 14-strikeout, no-hitter on Dec. 9 against China ... also hit .500 with seven runs batted in ... has been a member of the Junior Women’s National Team since 2009, helping the U.S. to gold at the 2010 Pan American Championship ... allowed no hits or runs in six innings with 14 K’s, hitting .353 with seven RBI.

Carda played pitcher and first base at Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, Calif. ... was a three-time All-Delta River League and Sacramento River Cats All-City Team selection (‘09-’11) ... had a 1.14 earned run average and 177 strikeouts in 117 innings to go with a .500 batting average and seven home runs as a senior ... recorded 331 strikeouts in 169 innings and a 0.54 ERA as a junior, and also hit .512 with 15 doubles and four home runs, as she earned Sacramento River Cats Softball Player of the Year and ESPN RISE First All-Tournament Team honors ... was the Sacramento Bee Player of the Year and ESPN Rise First Team in 2009 in helping the Eagles to their first-ever Sac-Joaquin Section Division I title ... played club with Lady Magic.

Born Allyson Nicole Carda on Jan. 15, 1993 in Sacramento, Calif. ... parents are Heather and Jim Carda ... has two brothers, Eric and Jack ... says she chose to play softball because it gives her a rush every time she steps on to the field ... favorites include band “Blink 182”, actor Russell Brand, the movie “A Walk to Remember” and the San Francisco Giants ... thing she likes the most about softball is that there is always a chance to redeem yourself and do better each pitch, each at-bat, each game ... biggest athletic thrill so far was committing to be a Bruin ... majoring in sociology.
